Hello, and welcome to our new school year! We're extremely excited about our students returning for the 2015-2016 learning year. Our year kicks off on Sunday, August 16, with our 2nd annual "Blessing of the Backpacks" during the 11:00a.m. Mass. All students are encouraged to bring their backpacks to Mass to receive a blessing for the new school year. After Mass, we will head to the McAlear Center to introduce our staff and give updates to our families. Students will then have the opportunity to meet their new teacher(s) and drop off their supplies in the classroom. PTO is also hosting an Ice Cream Social. At 1:00p.m. there will be a brief New Family Orientation in the Cafeteria.
School begins on Wednesday, August 19, and Morning Care will be available.
Our Parent Night Meetings are listed below. It is important for at least one parent to attend. No students please.
Grades K-1-2 Monday, August 17 6:30 p.m. (cafeteria) 7:45 p.m. Option C Training (computer lab)
Grades 3-4-5 Monday, August 24 6:30 p.m. (cafeteria) 7:45 p.m. Option C Training (computer lab)
Grades 6-7-8 Monday, August 24 6:30 p.m. (cafeteria) 7:45 p.m. Option C Training (computer lab)
There has been a change to our uniform policy for Wednesdays. Students who have gym on Wednesdays, should wear their regular uniforms with tennis shoes beginning immediately. We have made this change to show reverence on our Mass day. Students with gym on Monday and/or Thursday should wear their regular gym clothing for the day as we have in the past. You should purchase your child's gym clothing through the school, as we have a new vendor this year, with whom we are working with directly through the office.
This year we have four (4) 2-hour delays built into our schedule. We will have Morning Care available for students to be dropped off at the regular start time of 7:30 a.m. If we have a weather delay and have not closed by 8:15, you may drop your child off at 8:30a.m. You must first register your child into the Morning Care Program to use this service. The cost is $5.00 per child.
We have some other new and exciting things going on this year, so please be sure to attend your child's Parent Night Meeting(s). It is also very important to be actively reading the weekly newsletter that will be available through Option C. You will be send email alerts as they are posted.
On behalf of the entire All Saints School Staff, we wish you and your children a wonderful start to the new year. We look forward to working together with you to provide a year of joyful learning for all of our students!
