St. Peter School was established in 1860. We are affiliated with the Sisters of Notre Dame. Located in downtown Canton, we are in the heart of Canton’s arts and cultural center, enabling us to extend learning far beyond the classroom walls.
St. Peter School is fully accredited by the State of Ohio and the Catholic Conference of Catholic Schools. Our preschool opened in 1989 and is accredited by the State of Ohio and the NAEYC.

Areas of Study
All students receive instruction in Religious Education, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Physical Education, Health, Computer, Art, and Music.
Students have the opportunity to participate in fine-arts classes and perform at the Players Guild, Canton Museum of Art, Canton Symphony and Second April Art Gallery.
Our school works closely with our students’ families, our sponsor parish and its members, and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown to provide an education rich in our Catholic ways of worship, prayer and Christian beliefs, practices, tradition and heritage.
In addition, we believe in the importance of joining with other organizations to promote our students’ involvement in civic activity and responsibility.
